FC Dallas will be taking on Chivas USA on 4 July, and the match is expected to be a sell-out. It will be taking place in Frisco, where there are a lot of festivities due to the Frisco Freedom Fest. Since they will be playing in front of a sellout crowd, Dallas manager Schellas Hyndman has said that he wants his players to maximise this opportunity to get back to form. There must have been on a poor run of form in the last few weeks, which has resulted in Real Salt Lake closing the gap on them in the table.
The team has not managed a victory in the last three matches, while they will be having another tough match in the form of a visit to LA Galaxy in the next encounter. Hence, three points is certainly on the agenda for Hyndman and he says that the players can utilise 4 July atmosphere to get a victory. Hyndman has said that it is always special to be playing on Independence Day and it is irrespective of the sport. He has said that the home team is especially charged up in all sports like football, basketball, and baseball.
“I don’t mean to speak for every coach in the world but I think we all enjoy an environment that appreciates the event that’s going on, whether it’s a basketball game, whether it’s a football game or a soccer game. We’re very happy to have a great crowd because it gives the players extra motivation,” said the FC Dallas manager. The team made a great start to the new campaign by suffering very few defeats until June. However, since the 1-0 defeat against Portland Timbers in the middle of June, they have been unable to get the victory and it is starting to affect their league position.
